L.A. Roadster Show Photo Highlights

Every Father's Day weekend, the LA Roadster's Car Club host its annual show at the fairgrounds in Pomona, Ca. California Car Cover has been an exhibitor there for many years so it has become Father's Day tradition for the DeFrank men to spend Father's Day at the show. I took a break from the booth to photograph some of the vehicles and sights I found interesting.

Even though there was some heavy mist in the morning, a fair amount of cars and spectators came out to the show.

Golden Shine Road Tour is Next Week

Next week, my father and I will be participating in the Street Rodder Road Tour. Our Golden Shine Car Care line is the official car care sponsor of the tour. We will be driving from the California Car Cover's headquarters in Chatsworth, Ca to Pueblo, Colorado for the NSRA car show there next weekend. It will be a great trip as we cruise across Nevada, Utah and Colorado in a 1957 Chevy. There will be stops along the way at many private car collections and unique points of interest. LAPD Car Show and Pomona Swap Meet

LAPD VTAC Car Show: Woodland Hills, Ca

The 8th Annual VTAC Car Show was held last Saturday and California Car Cover was in attendance. We were demonstrating Golden Shine products and handing out catalogs to all the people.

There was a variety of cars on display from lowriders and VWs to hot rods and new muscle cars.







The guys from Timeless Kustoms brought out a pair of custom Chevy vehicles.



The LAPD motorcycle team put on a demonstration.



Over 30 food trucks were on hand serving up tasty treats.











The next morning, I had to head out to Pomona for another swap meet. Once the sun came out there were plenty of classic cars and people.



The California Car Cover team was on hand selling car covers. We also have a sale booth to try and move old products and inventory.

May 29th Super Car Sunday

Some early morning drizzle did not keep the cars or the people away from Super Car Sunday last weekend. Once the sun came out the exotics and muscle cars started to arrive.







Marque parking was available to vehicles with over 500 whp. There were a few factory hot rods on display.

The California Car Cover and Golden Shine crew was on hand to demonstrate products and distribute catalogs to fellow auto enthusiasts.

June Catalog Cover Photo Shoot

Last month, we coordinated our annual Father's Day cover photo shoot. We could not have done it without our "models," the Wall family.

John Wall of Simi Valley, Ca has been a customer for many years, but a family friend much longer. He and his son, Jeff, brought over a couple of cars for the photo shoot. We were thrilled that John's grandson could participate as well. The love of classic cars is a pastime in our family too.

John owns the 1932 Ford Hi-Boy and 1936 Ford Cabriolet shown on the cover.
