10/01 Mini Cooper Detail Day at California Car Cover

On Saturday we hosted our Mini Cooper Detail Day. The event was a lot of fun so thank you for all the local SCMM members for stopping by California Car Cover for the afternoon.

One of our Golden Shine team members, Brandon, answered detailing questions and did product demonstrations on all of our Golden Shine products.
One of the club members even drove her Mini under the canopy so that Brandon could demonstrate a clay bar and polisher on her vehicle.
Photos of some of the Mini Coopers that stopped by our store.
Special thanks goes out to Scott and the crew at Motoring Magic in Thousand Oaks, Ca. The shop specializes in Mini Cooper maintenance and is also a distributor of our Golden Shine products.

We are hosting a showroom sale through the end of the month so it is a great time to save on garage items, car care, collectibles and more.
A big thank you goes out to our vendors that donated items to the prize raffle for attendees. We had a catalog sign up station and gave away some great items to the lucky winners. Some of the Mini drivers walked away with Introtech Sun Shades, XPEL lens protection kits, Metro Vacuums, Mac Neil Weatertech floor mats and Lloyd custom floor mats.
More Minis on display.
One of the lucky winners of a custom Introtech sun shade. Thank you to all the sponsors and attendees. We look forward to hosting another event in the spring.

Mini Cooper Detail Day at California Car Cover

The first ever Mini Cooper Show and Detail Day will be held at California Car Cover on Saturday, October 1st, 2011 from 10am-2pm. Held in conjunction with our friends at SCMM and Motoring Magic, the event will feature a show for local Mini owners, plus product demonstrations featuring our Golden Shine Car Care Products. It will be a great opportunity to socialize with fellow mini owners and ask detailing questions to one of our in-house experts. There will be show only specials for attendees. Please email info@calcarcover.com to RSVP or visit the event page on Facebook.

The members of SCMM and customers of Motoring Magic will start their day in Ventura County for a morning drive and breakfast. They will arrive at California Car Cover in the late morning for the event. Please contact Motoring Magic in Thousand Oaks, Ca for details on the morning drive.

If you in Southern California another fun event at California Car Cover is happening in just a few weeks. The 3rd Annual Fall Parts Exchange and Sale will be happening on Saturday, Sept 17th form 7am-2pm. It is a fun event and we have been hosting an exchange/sale twice a year for the past few years.

"I always look forward to our parts exchange and sale. You never know what you are going to find, plus it's a chance to get together with some local car buddies without having to drive very far," said company president, Jim DeFrank. You can get more details on the event on our website or visiting our showroom in Chatsworth, Ca.

Adding to the fun this time around, we are having our friends at the VW Oktoberfest stop by for an afternoon show and Golden Shine detail day. Golden Shine is one of the sponsor of the Oktoberfest event in Big Bear, Ca and we are looking forward to having a bunch of Audi and VW owners stop by for a show and shine. The event is from 12pm-4pm on September 17th. Visit the event page on Facebook for more details.

Model A Swap Meet and Super Car Sunday

California Car Cover was not attending any events over the weekend so I got up on Sunday morning and went to promote some of our upcoming shows. Around the corner from our shop on Sunday was the annual SFV Model A Club Parts Exchange and Show at the Boys Town.

There were quite a few cars on display and plenty of vendors exchanging all sorts of old car parts.

Looking for something rusty?

How about an operating hay baler?

I was not sure what this vehicle was, but it definitely attracted some attention.

These were pretty cool. A bunch of vintage Los Angeles street signs. There's a chance I picked up one for my garage.

The exchange was a good event to talk to some customers and pass out fliers for our upcoming parts exchange and parking lot sale we are hosting on Sept 17th. From the Model A show, I cruised over to Super Car Sunday to see what was going on.

I didn't get over there until 10 so I missed most of the action, but there was still a fair amount of cars on display.

Hi-Boy.

Recognize this Mini from the cover pages in our catalog? It reminded me about our upcoming Mini Cooper Show and Detail Day we are hosting at California Car Cover on October 1st. I attached the fliers for our next two events so everyone can check them out. See our website for all the details.
