CPW's Mopar Fall Fling at Woodley Park

This past weekend was packed full of events for me. I was representing California Car Cover all over Los Angeles on Saturday and Sunday. Throughout the week I will be posting photos from all of the events I attended over the weekend. The first stop was the Mopar Fall Fling.

Saturday morning, the California Car Cover Crew and I were at Woodley Park in Van Nuys for the annual Fall Fling. The Fall Fling bring Mopar enthusiasts from all over Southern California to the San Fernando Valley for a car show and swap meet.

All the action early in the morning is in the swap meet. 100's of swappers are on hand with hard to find Dodge, Chrysler and Plymouth parts up for sale. You can find parts and nearly complete cars up for sale in the area.

The Fall Fling is the smaller of the two events hosted by the Chrysler Performance West club. The annual Spring Fling is a two day event which attracts 100's of Mopar vehicles to the park over two days. The Fall Fling is a one day show that gets around 300 vehicles in the park for a casual car show.

Pretty cool if you are into extra large boulevard cruisers.

One of my favorite Dodge vehicles is the mid 60s Charger like the one above. This red '66 caught my eye.

Even owners of 80s LeBaron and Aries got some love at the Fall Fling.

This 1960 Dodge Polara attracted quite a crowd all day long. This unique car had some excellent details.

A unique van.

Glad I avoided the mosquitoes!
Big thanks to the guys at the CPW Club for putting on another fine car show. California Car Cover and I will be back in the spring for the fling.

Mopar Spring Fling 2013 Photos & Coverage

This past weekend was the annual Mopar Spring Fling held at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, Ca. The annual event always draws a large crowd of Mopar enthusiasts from all over the world to the San Fernando Valley for a week's worth of driving events and car shows.

On Saturday, it was also the 2nd Annual Shepherd of the Hills Car Show in Northridge, Ca and California Car Cover was a proud sponsor of that event. I will be posting photos and video from that show later in the week.

The Spring Fling is hosted by our friends at Chrysler Performance West. This local car club does a great job of attracting 100's of Chrysler, Dodge & Plymouth vehicles owners to Woodley Park for the two-day car show. There are always plenty of people and vendors at the show. California Car Cover has been a vendor for the past few years.

A pair of clean Chrysler 300s were parked side by side.

Even though it was a very hot day in Southern California, there was still a large crowd and plenty of classic cars on display. The park does have plenty of trees, so people spent a lot of time hanging out in the shade.

There are always plenty of cool and custom Dodge Vans on display at the Spring Fling.

Most of the muscle cars on display at the Spring Fling are in competition for awards. The awards are given to only the best cars at the show. You will notice that a lot of the cars on display have the hoods open not just to show off, but so the judges can see all the details under the hood.

Whether you like the Road Runner, Dart, Barracuda, Challenger, Charger or any other model of Mopar, there were most likely a few examples of them on display at the show.

This is my new friend Nathan. Nathan saw me taking photos at the show for our blog and wanted to be in a photo for the website. Thank you for being a fan of California Car Cover, Nathan.
The swap meet always draws a big crowd to the park early Saturday morning. Vendors start lining up during the wee hours of the morning in order to get a good spot in the swap meet. It is a great place to find that hard to find part to outfit your Dodge or Plymouth.
