Rock N Roll & Hot Rods at the Hootenanny 2013

This past Saturday was the 19th Annual Hootenanny. It was held at the Oak Canyon Ranch, which you might recognized from my coverage of the Born Free Motorcycle Show last weekend.
On the way out to Silverado for the show, I stopped in the city of Orange for lunch. I spotted this clean 1936 Ford parked downtown. Anyway, on to the Hootenanny...
There were plenty of unique vendors on display at the show. From apparel and accessories to instruments and hair care products. You could even get a haircut at the Hawleywood's booth.

The Hootenanny is mostly about music, but the event does attract a lot of nice cars to its annual car show. There were plenty of traditional styled hot rods and customs on display.

There were plenty of white wall tires and steel wheels at the Hootenanny.

Always nice to see a California Car Duster being used at an event. The duster was in the bed of the primered Chevy pickup shown above.

The event attracted a list of popular bands, including Social Distortion, Face to Face and the Old 97s. I have been a fan of Face to Face since I was in high school, so I could not pass up a chance for a Face to Face concert and a classic car show in one. During the event, there was a meet and greet with the band at the Lucky 13 apparel booth so I had the chance for the guys to sign an event poster and awkwardly pose for a photo with me.

It was a hot day, so many people opted to hang out in the shade under the oak trees.

One of the event sponsors was Gretsch Guitars. Gretsch gave away a few guitars at the show to a few lucky show attendees which was a cool offer. Unfortunately, I did not win one.

Sullen Apparel was an event sponsor and helped select a Miss Hootenanny 2013 at the event.

Here are some more photos of the crowd and booths at the Hootenanny.

Here are some photos from the Face to Face set. The crowd is always rowdy during Face to Face sets.

The headliner at the Hootenanny was Southern California's own Social Distortion. The Mike Ness and the guys always puts on a good set and draw a large crowd.
